Wider Access Forum
One site, many different faces...
Fly On the Wire were comissioned by the Fife & Tayside Wider Access Forum to provide a web prescence for the organisation and it's two main projects.
The sites were to follow a similar theme but to each have a distinct identity suitable for a range of different user groups. No mean feat but Fly took to the task...!
The corporate site
www.fifeandtaysideforum.org.uk
The Fife & Tayside Wider Access Forum is a partnership between academic institutions and local authorities in Fife & Tayside to widen access to further education.
The Forum needed a site that would inform people about their work, their remit and their projects.
Fly On the Wire developed a site that could display all the Forum's relevant information as well as creating a password protected region for approved users to download minutes of meetings. The main page serves as a prominent gateway to the individual projects.
LIFT OFF
This project is designed to allow young people to realise their potential and consider higher education option they may not have considered before.
The site is a funky twist on the main template using more colourful graphics. It is designed to be a lot less text heavy to engage youngsters with a shorter attention span!
It includes information for different user groups including teachers and parents
Transitions
www.learningwithtransitions.org.uk
Transitions is a learning gateway for adults in Fife & Tayside. This site had to incorporate a great deal of information for adult learners including converting a case study booklet for use on the web.
The site contains an extensive help and guidance section and there are cues on every page for learners who may be a bit less computer literate to contact the Transitions team.
The transitions site is another twist on the overarching template created for the Forum sites.
